This medium going 3 mile walk around Athens, is a great way of seeing some of the major sights of this great city. This walk takes in the following points of interest:

- Plaka (Pláka is the old historical neighbourhood of
Athens)
- Acropolis of Athens (Erechtheion / Parthenon / Theatre of
Dionysus / Odeon of Herodes Atticus / Choragic
Monument of Lysicrates)
- Stoa of Attalos
- Ancient Agora of Athens
- Temple of Hephaestus
- Monastiraki / Church of Panagia Kapnikarea
- Hadrians Library
- Syntagma Square / Hellenic Parliament Building
- National Garden

If you have the time it is also worth visiting the National Archaeological Museum (28is Oktovriou 44, Athens 10682), located a further 1½ mile walk (or approximately 15 minutes by public transport) due north of the National Gardens.
"The National Archaeological Museum of Athens is the largest archaeological museum in Greece and one of the most important museums in the world devoted to ancient Greek art.
It was founded at the end of the 19th century to house and protect antiquities from all over Greece, thus displaying their historical, cultural and artistic value."
